Changing the Channel

Please note that this post is very internal and not everyone could understand what the hell I am on about. If, by the end of reading this post, you find yourself confused please do not worry. It is not an insult to your intelligence, it's just the post has a very hidden cryptic message that not everyoe could understand it. Apology in advance :)
In my MC ratification speech - I was mentioning an analogy about being in AIESEC is like watching a TV without a remote control. If you don't like what you see, you have to make the effort to manually change the channel. When asked during Q&A session when was the last time I tried to "Change the channel" without hesitation I said, "Like,.. now."
Almost 4 weeks in to my new life and 10 days into my MC term (and over 5 months since the ratification), I found myself trying to change the channel but still cursing about the bad channel I have watched for the whole year. The "broadcasting standard" surely has gone downhill a lot and my eyes are still sore from watching that bad channel for far too long! The sad thing is, the bad channel hasn't always been bad. Where is the good old times when the TV channel we watch has a quality TV programmes?
It just like watching Sesame Streets one year and suddenly it changed to the Teletubbies (Mind you, I love Sesame Streets and loathe the Teletubbies so much). And to make it worse - you stuck with it while secretly hoping that it would go back to the good old Sesame Street programme!
I guess in 11 months and 20 days we will find out whether I have successfully changed the channel or bought a new TV instead.
