Things that were forgotten

Wednesday, November 16, 2005

Guess whom I receive a call from just a moment ago? Antony - Our beloved intern who left NZ only three weeks ago! What a nice surprise! He rang just to check up on how we are doing and to tell me that Skoda and Vicky were there with him. He is so sweet! Yes yes, I know.... we taught him well down south ;)

Speaking of which, I completely forgotten that I supposed to post the pictures of the "activities" I have been doing during my "hibernation". Too much to tell though, pictures tell a thousand words!

It is long overdue, so here you go in a chronological order, just the sort of thing we do down south .... before exams.

Two weeks before my first exam ... the FEED NICK Project

If you read my previous post you will know that Nick's parents were away and he has been eating bad food all week (Think about 5 boxes of Domino's Pizza - even I would gag eating that much pizza in a week)This is the first time the EB actually have a real bonding activities. It was heaps of fun! Marvelous food, no doubt! It was a night with AIESECers without AIESEC talks - if you know what I mean? (Okay, I lied, we talked a little tiny wee bit about AIESEC- nothing major ;) The supposedly "quick-dinner-home-by-10" turned out to be a quick dinner with a long random talks. When I said random, it means random. From the richest man in China to the usage of Gangee River in India to the profit that the Christchurch Casino makes in a year. What can be more random than that, huh?

Wayne, SMILE! ;p

The tablecloth resembles Nick's dress shirt. *LOL*

One week before my first exam ... Antony Farewell Party

Antony has left us for Hong Kong. But nobody leaves Canterbury without a paaar-taay! Now this is what I called a *real* farewell party where the person who leaves get pissed drunk while others still managed to stay half-sober. Tee-hee. Simon Shikongo - our SN, paid a visit before heading off to his own Haloween Party. Aahh... good times! *That wine Jo brought was actually tastes quite good!*

antony farewell
This is just the beginning...

Pure Class
Here's to you, and here's to me..

20 hours before my second exam ... Study group - Yeah, right!

My study buddies were quite impressed with my new lappy they decided to "test" the built-in webcam. As you can see, we are taking exams very seriously... *ahem* ..

W5A00051

This is "normal".

Those were the days prior to the exams. Eventhough I didn't show it, I was stressing out inside 0.0 Don't let my smiley face fools you *Tee-hee... >=D * That's just how we handle exams - Canterbury style! ;) *woooh!*

Living Diversity

In consistent to one of AIESEC Canterbury ideas for PBox... my blog is now wearing a webband, "Embrace Diversity" *hint, hint, top LHS corner*

Cool, aye?

I want Pangsit!

Tuesday, November 15, 2005

It is that time of the year again, end of exam, end of year, Christmas. This is also the time of year when people asks the question, "Are you going home for Christmas? " Unfortunately my friends, I have to say "No." for that.

It usually takes a lot of convincing to make me spend summer in Indonesia. But this year is rather different, I actually do want to spend a month or two there. Weird, huh? After five years, this is the only time when I really felt homesick. Ah, what is happening?

I suddenly have this crave of pangsit (Wonton). I even rang home to ask my parents how to cook those (Yeah, I know we can buy it from the Chinese restaurant - but homemade food tastes better. Eventhough it's MY cooking!). It gave Dad a false alarm - he thought I rang because I changed my mind and decided to go home. Which partially correct. Don't you get scared when your parents know how you feel without even you telling them? Maybe they are parents for a reason.

However... I still have NZ Summer to enjoy and the long holiday to look forward to. I am leaving for Wellington in 10 days time for NZLTM where I will spend quite some time and just enjoy the getaway. I don't know what I'm gonna do to keep myself busy though. Only 3 days out of 12 will be spent doing AIESEC work. Aahh.. so looking forward to it.
