Gut feeling

If all else fails, trust your gut feeling. I learnt this when I was LCP. A very useful life-skill in deed. The time when you have to make a critical decision and all logic escapes you. I have made some bad decisions because I based everything on logic and not following my gut feeling. The balance between thinking logically and following your gut feeling would create the best decision I reckon. :)
