AIESEC Moments
Thursday, July 14, 2005"Like sand through the hour glass, so are the days of our lives"
Time flies so fast, it is now Friday already. One week ago I was still anticipating what July Forum would be like. I never thought this would be like September Forum all over again for me. My trip to Wellington and July Forum that comes with that was definitely the highlight of holiday.
- Singstar Pop - Second to best of Singstar collection. It has the latest pop songs and surprisingly, one kiwi song. Adi and I kicked butt on "The Reason" and Mussy was a real shocker when it comes to singing. The top score last quite long though, ... until Adi teamed up with Amy and ruined my all-time high score.
- It's good to be the LCP - This is the first time I actually representing AIESEC Canterbury and leading the whole delegation as an LCP! Not as "acting LCP", not with an "e" behind the title, just LCP. Ooh, it feels good when I flick my plague card to second motions (although I have to work on my wrist-flicking skill)
- LCP functional Time - We are so special we went out of the venue to do our functional time! ;) Not only that, we even climbed up the tree to discuss some serious national issues ;p However, it was fun though. It reminded me when I was 7, I used to climb up the roof to play mattress-surfing. But never a tree and never without adult supervision, though!
- Rugby and Singstar - two extremely different activities back to back. One was very manly while the other was girly. Doing this activities demonstrated AIESECers ability tostepping out of our comfort zone ie. watching rugby outside in the cold or singing your lungs out put of tune in front of 40 odd people in the middle of the night. Have to admit though, the LCP sucked as. HOWEVER.. blame it on the microphone, the bad choice of song and the sore-throat! ;D
- Happy Birthday, Giedre - On July 10th 2004 we were also in the middle of July Forum, celebrating Giedre's birthday. Where else can you celebrate birthday with people sing you Happy Birthday in 10 diferent languages? Only in AIESEC.
- AIESEC Canterbury mini reunion - Canterbury alumni made random apprearance in July Forum. Who needs that fancy schpancy alumni dinner where you can meet your fellow alumnus and present Canty AIESECers over pizza, beer and rugby?
- Random AIESEC moments - such as this:
